Everyone here at Gelbach Designs loves the challenge of a Custom News Desk.
A Custom News Desk unfolds. It is never clear cut. The client has ideas of what he wants to see in his new desk. Our designers will take those ideas, consider the studio size, colors, number of people sitting at the desk and create a rendering. Sometimes the client says, “Perfect!! That is exactly what I was thinking! I love it! Do it!” But usually the client wants to change this and that. The client and the designer work together, back and forth, incorporating the changes into the rendering. We depend on the accuracy of the renderings. When everyone agrees on the rendering, then the CAD construction drawings begin. This phase, the renderings and the construction drawings, takes the most time in the process of creating a Custom News Desk. The CAD drawings are down loaded into our CNC router, parts are cut out and the actual building begins. The building phase goes surprisingly fast. Sometimes more back and forth adjustments will be made. The desk emerges. Lights, laminates and glass are added. Then the desk is presented in pictures for the clients approval.
We are always proud of our Custom News Desks. We love giving the clients what they hoped for. It is like making dreams come true. We always learn from the Custom News Desks. They are always a challenge.
